We did it!

What a gorgeous Tuesday it is! And what a great day to be able to say we have finally completed our home study application! Yeah! Two weeks to day from when we received it. Pretty good I would say since we have been told alott of people end up taking up to six months to get them back in! We are very ready to move on to the next step, and now I really have to get serious about our portfolio. Oh and by the way, we have the nursery completed and ready for the pictures for the book! Very gender neutral, but cute. I am sure we will end up re-doing it when we find out what sweet baby is coming to us. Hopefully tonight I will begin to paste pages for your thoughts. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. I will keep you posted on more!

A letter written to our friends and family

To our wonderful friends and family,
We want to update you on some amazing things that the Lord has been doing in our lives over the past several months. As many of you know we have been trying to add to our family for a little over a year now, and although we have seen a specialist and have tried different fertility treatments have not been able to conceive. It has been a long and sometimes heartbreaking road as we have suffered several losses. God has taught us so many things over the past year and it is our greatest desire that he be glorified. We are committed to praise him in the valleys just as we do on the mountain tops! We are writing you this letter to ask you to join us in support and prayer as we begin our journey of adoption! That is right, we are ADOPTING! Even before we were married we felt like adoption would be a part of our lives. We have both been very involved with orphan ministries since we were teenagers. After the birth of our daughter we wanted to continue to grow our family. We feel at this time God is telling us to adopt. We are so excited about the possibility to provide a home for a child that needs one. Not only do we want to provide a loving Christian home for a child, but we also want to welcome the birth mother into our family and be able to share the love of Christ with her. God has led us to a wonderful local adoption agency and we are doing our best to complete the home study as quickly as we can. We would love and appreciate it if you would join with us in prayer. Here are a couple of things that you can pray for:
· the health and wellbeing of our future child
· the physical, and spiritual health of our birth mother and father
· that the birth parents would have all the support and love they need to make this difficult decision
· the funds necessary to afford the adoption
· that God would be glorified in every step of the process.

We thank you for your prayers and support and look forward to sharing more wonderful news with you soon!
