Life with the Brewers

Wow,
So it has been a while since I have updated. We have soooo much going on right now! To our surprise on March 14th we found out that we are expecting! What excitement and joy this has added to our lives. After having blood work done several times we were told that not only were we pregnant (after being told that we were not able to conceive on our own) but that the numbers looked so good that I would not need anything to supplement the pregnancy. Friday April the 2nd we went for our first sonogram, which would have been our six week visit. Unfortunately the doctor said that there may be something wrong with the pregnancy. They saw a small gestational sac, but no fetus. This led the doctor to believe that I am either not as far along as he originally thought, or there may be a problem. As I am sure you can imagine we are devastated right now, and trying to remain faithful in not worrying. To be honest, my first reaction was not a good one. I was angry and did not understand what God was trying to do. I could not understand how we could finally be pregnant, and in such an amazing way only for there to be a problem. I am still struggling with this, but I am doing my best to trust in God's plan. We go back Friday for another sonogram. In the meantime I am so thankful for my sweet friends and family who are a constant support. I was reminded by one of them this morning not to miss out on what God is doing NOW as I wait for our appointment on Friday. She also reminded me of

Mathew 6 25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]? 28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

We are doing our best not to worry. In the meantime, I am definitely still pregnant, and we are praying that God will get all the glory in this pregnancy and the birth of this baby at the end of this year!
In the meantime this has been my song of choice!

Thank you for your prayers and support.
